February and March Birthdays!

Since there was only one birthday in Feb. and one in March I decided to just lump the two months together. So, to go in chronological order, I (Gabrielle) turned 16 on Feb. 26. I had a wonderful birthday! My family threw a small surprise birthday party, it was lot of fun but, unfortunately the secret leaked so I was not surprised. I still had a great time and enjoyed seeing my friends!
David turned 4 on March 9. He also was able to have some friends over and went miniature golfing. That night he picked his favorite movie. The next day we had his cake and presents. We took some pictures that are featured below.

May this motivate us all to give our all to the Lord while we still have TIME

The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop, at late or early hour.
Now is the only time you own, Live, love, toil with a will.
Place no faith in time, for the clock may soon be still.” - Anonymous

This is another great poem that I have read over and over! And someday I intend to memorize it! :)

It Couldn't Be Done

by Edgar A. Guest

Somebody said it couldn't be done.
But he with a chuckle replied,
That maybe it couldn't, but he would be one
Who wouldn't say so 'till he'd tried.

So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried, he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done. And he did.

Somebody scoffed, "Oh, you'll never do that
At least no one ever has done it."
But he took off his coat, and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we know, he'd begun it.

With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or "quit-it".
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't done. And he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done.
There are thousands to prophesy failure.
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you
But just buckle in, with a bit of a grin;
Just take off your coat and go to it.
Just start in to sing as yout tackle the thing
That cannot be done--and you'll do it!

Incredible Gifts

This is a 14 minute video about a man named Derek. Despite his tremendous disadvantages- he's blind and suffers from cognitive difficulties- Derek is a beautiful example of God's goodness.  He displays a talent most humans could never dream of possessing. This video is truly worth the time to watch and thank God for his amazing creation.

Baby Blessings Party

Babies are always worth celebrating, so with light hearts we joined our church community at a party thrown by the Pyle family in honor of their latest addition, Israel Douglas Pyle . We all had a wonderful time of fellowship and fun and snapped a few pictures that we wanted to share.

The Pyle Family sharing some of their favorite songs.

Behold children are a gift from the Lord;
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one's youth.
How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
When they speak with their enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127:3-5
