Samuel heads out to ALERT Basic Training

Samuel leaves tomorrow very early in the morning. His destination? The International ALERT Academy located in Big Sandy, Texas. He is so excited! He will be going through the Basic Training program and then hopefully the Emergency Response Training. Those two programs will take a combined total of 19 weeks. During the training, ALERT tries to isolate the trainee from outside sources of support, in order that he learns to turn to God for his strength. Practically, that means that Samuel will not have his cell phone or internet access for the next few months. Keep him in your prayers, and look forward with us to his return!

We just got back from a wonderful three day camping trip, on the coast. The area is so beautiful, so we took lots of pictures. The best are right here. Enjoy!

This video, taken from the Special Features from "Divided", is REALLY good! This doesn't just apply to pastors, but also to individual Christians as well. Are we starving our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who need Christian fellowship and community? Are we "neglecting the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some,"(Hebrews 10:25)? Or are we instead "exhorting one another while it is called “Today,” (Hebrews 10:25, 3:13)? May God help us all build each other up in the faith. Enjoy Paul Washer's exhortation!
